Find out more about the NHS in Adur next month

Thursday 29th August, 2013

People in Adur are being invited to meet with the new leaders of local health services and find out more about what is planned for the local area next month.

NHS Coastal West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the new NHS organisation responsible for the majority of local health services, is holding a public event in Adur on Wednesday 18th September to give people the opportunity to hear more about their work and have their say on local health services.

The event, which is being held at Lancing Parish Hall, starts at 4.30pm with an interactive market place where local residents will be able to:

  • talk to a range of health professionals about local services,
  • learn more about what the NHS is doing locally, including local GP practices,
  • and find out how you can help to improve health services.

There will then be an opportunity from 6.00-6.30pm to ask the CCG’s Governing Body a question about local health services and its plans for the future.

NHS Coastal West Sussex CCG took over responsibility for planning and buying the majority of health services as part of the national NHS reforms which took effect from 1st April 2013.

Led by local GPs and health professionals, the CCG is responsible for the healthcare of 482,100 people living across Adur, Arun, Bognor Regis, Chanctonbury, Chichester and Worthing.

You can also formally submit a question by post to Laura Skelcey, NHS Coastal West Sussex CCG, 1 The Causeway, Goring by Sea, Worthing, West Sussex, BN12 6BT or email to by the 30th August 2013.
