Have your say on dementia care

Monday 14th October, 2013

Elderly couple

Are you living with dementia? We want to hear from you about your experience of local services and care.

Your views will help us to shape our work to look at what is currently available for people living with dementia and their families and carers, and how this help can be improved.

The aim is to develop a five year plan that will help to ensure that people in West Sussex are supported to live well with dementia.

To have your say, there is a range of ways you can get involved:

  • Attend an afternoon session on 28th October 2013 at 12.30 – 4.30 p.m. at The Barn, Field Place, Worthing.  We anticipate this session will be popular so please book early if you are interested as places are limited - you can book by calling 0330 2222 186 or email: DementiaStrategy@westsussex.gov.uk
  • Or complete a quick questionnaire to share your experiences and views on current services. Click here to have your say.

The team is also planning to visit libraries in a range of locations throughout West Sussex, to give people the opportunity to speak to us directly, so look out for this opportunity in your local library.

If you would like further details of any of these events or would like to know more, please email the team directly at dementiastrategy@westsussex.gov.uk

We are also working with local voluntary organisations and service providers to hear their views and understand what would make a difference, and are aiming to complete the Dementia Strategy in the New Year and we will let you know when this is available.
