Invite to a public meeting to talk about health services in Midhurst

Tuesday 26th February, 2019

Local doctors and health professionals are looking at how health and care services could best support people in and around Midhurst now and for the future.

This follows the launch of the Local Community Network  in this area, focused on the needs of the local population.

They have already been working to improve the support for those who are frail and older within the community, and to introduce social prescribing support in GP practices for those who can benefit from linking with wider community groups and support.

The work is also taking into account the temporary closure of the community beds at the Bailey Unit in Midhurst Community Hospital, and what is really needed for the future in this area.

Come to a public meeting to find out more

We would like to invite people to join us for a public meeting about this work and how you can get involved.

It is taking place on Tuesday 26 February 2019 at 3pm to 5pm in the South Downs Centre.

We are keen for local people to work with us to make sure that services truly meet the needs of the local community.

There will be presentations from the local doctors involved, information about what has been explored so far, and setting out the next steps and how you can be part of the project.

There will also be a market place with stands from community groups and voluntary organisations, sharing more about what is available in the local area.

Book your place now

We have got a large room for the meeting but we do want to make sure there is space for everyone, so we are asking people to reserve their place.

In particular, please let us know if you have any special requirements so we can make it as easy as possible for you to attend.
