Who we are

NHS Coastal West Sussex CCG is led by local doctors and health professionals and is responsible for the health and wellbeing of more than 482,100 people.

The CCG is a membership organisation and is made up of the 47 GP practices in our area, covering six localities in West Sussex:

  • Adur
  • Arun
  • Chanctonbury
  • Chichester
  • Regis
  • Worthing

We have a strong leadership team made up of local doctors, hospital consultants and nurses, who are working alongside an experienced local management team to make sure that local services are providing the best possible care for local people.

GPs taking the lead

We have a strong clinical leadership from our locality directors who represent member GP practices, and clinical leads who working on key areas of our work. They are all local GPs.

The locality directors and transformation clinical leads sit on our Clinical Innovation and Strategy Committee, a committee of our Governing Body.  This role of this committee is to identify a clinical transformation programme and drive delivery of strategic changes to the CWS health and care system that will improve outcomes for local people and ensure that services are financially sustainable.
